Genaro is a proud father of two, and husband to an amazing wife; he is also the proud founder of GXC. Since the age of 17, Genaro has served his country as a United States Marine – Field Artillery, and as a Federal Law Enforcement Officer with the Department of Homeland Security. Genaro entered the Marine Corps, on September 4th, 2001, resulting in his first day of training being September 11th, 2001. After multiple tours in the Middle East, Genaro transitioned to a staff assistant role at US CENTCOM, MacDill Air Force Base, Tampa, Florida. Receiving senior flag-officer level mentoring and guidance, Genaro was able to convert his skill set to becoming a member of the Department of Homeland Security. In 2017, Genaro departed DHS as the (A) Deputy Director of the Southeast Region and started GXC. Since that time, GXC has grown to serve and protect premiere organizations associated with Education, Sports, Entertainment and more.

Megan Scherger started as our Executive Assistant in 2021. She promptly measured up to expectation and was tasked with running the CEIA Metal Detector Installation and Maintenance Program. Megan has taken this program and made it her own. She is responsible for leading, coordinating, and executing the installation and maintenance of CEIA Metal Detector nationwide. Megan went to St. Joseph’s College to become for Adolescence Education with a major in History. Alike many young adults post college, she had realized this would be the occupation that she would be jubilant in doing for the rest of her professional life, Megan likes to cook, go to the gym, hang out with her dogs at her beach house, and binge a good show on Netflix.

Matt recently came to GXC in January of 2022 from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Federal Protective Service, where he served as an executive in the Region responsible for New York, New Jersey, and the Caribbean. Prior to serving with the Federal Protective Service, Matt worked for U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Headquarters, Force Protection Branch, where he served as the Law Enforcement Liaison for the Plum Island Animal Disease Center. Matt is a veteran of the US Navy and has a combined 20 plus years of military, loss prevention, physical security, force protection, and law enforcement background. Matt joins GXC as the Business Development Officer and has been deeply involved in the creation of GXC’s sales team. Matt is a board-certified Protection Professional (CPP) through the American Society of Industrial Security (ASIS). Matt is married to his wife, Lauren and has two young children. Matt is a kidney donor and in his off time, Matt competes in Ironman triathlons and other types of endurance activities where he advocates for organ donation.

Jonathan Sands is an Arizona native who’s also a proud alumnus of Arizona State University. His professional career has been mostly in the business of professional motorsports for more than 25 years. He’s served primarily as a business development executive for some of NASCAR’s most noted teams and drivers which includes a most recent 12-year residency with NASCAR’s four-time champion Roush Fenway Racing, a sister organization to the Boston Red Sox. Jon later formed a marketing consulting firm Silent Partner, where he provided support to GXC before being tabbed to lead the company’s sales and marketing team. Jon enjoys the outdoors, primarily backpacking, skiing while also supporting Luke Air Force Base as an Honorary Commander for the 56th Fighter Wing Logistics and Support Squadron.

Angela has been with GXC since 2017, serving as its Chief Operations Officer. Angela’s experience comes from supporting Department of Homeland Security Law Enforcement, Physical Security, Protective Security Officer, and Security Assessment administration and operations executives. As Chief Operating Officer at GXC Inc., Angela Washington is responsible for the national operations of the company. She brings more than a decade of DHS experience to GXC Inc. Her experience and leadership have been focused on developing and delivering technology‐driven business services and solutions while providing outstanding customer service. From 2008 to joining GXC Inc. in 2017, Angela was responsible for the support of day-to-day operations within the Department of Homeland Security, Risk Management Branch. Under her guidance and leadership GXC has grown from an 800K in revenue company with only 20 employees to a 2.5M in revenue annually and over 60 employees.

Allison McHenry joined GXC in January of 2022 as Executive Assistant. She is involved in strategic planning and organization as well as providing comprehensive support to company leaders and program managers. Allison approaches all aspects of her job with a hard-working mindset and is passionate about helping find solutions to any challenges. She brings over 10 years of administrative and management experience to GXC. As well as being a mother of three and a dedicated wife to her husband, she is an avid sports fan. Allison takes great pride in working for a Veteran Owned business as she is the great granddaughter of a WWI Army vet, granddaughter of two WWII Navy vets, daughter of a Vietnam Marine Corps vet, and wife to an Operation Enduring Freedom Army vet.
