Nonprofit Security Grant Program (NSGP) Grant

Last Updated July 8th, 2026

The Nonprofit Security Grant Program (NSGP), administered by FEMA, funds physical security enhancements for nonprofit organizations across the United States. FY2025 provides $274.5 million for eligible applicants to invest in protective infrastructure, security training, and detection technology.

Eligible applicants include 501(c)(3) nonprofits at high risk of terrorist or extremist attack. Houses of worship, faith-based organizations, religious schools, community centers, senior centers, museums, and medical facilities all qualify. FEMA places faith-based and other ideology-based applicants in the highest-priority tier.

Awards can reach up to $200,000 per physical site, for up to three sites. A single organization can secure up to $600,000 per grant cycle. FEMA raised the per-site cap from $150,000, expanding what one award can cover.

Eligible uses include facility hardening, physical security enhancements, planning, training, and contracted security personnel. Weapon detection and entry screening equipment qualify as target hardening under the program.

GXC Inc. offers CEIA-engineered detection systems that fit NSGP target-hardening requirements. The OPENGATE weapons detection system and MSD Plus portable ferrous detector help houses of worship and nonprofits secure every entrance. As the exclusive US distributor of CEIA, GXC supplies equipment on a rent-or-purchase basis and itemizes it for your investment justification.
